Wayfaring Stranger is an American folk song that refers to Christians' temporary presence in this world. But while I may travel this world as a stranger, I am not lost; I follow Jesus and my destination is in heaven.

Living my junior high fantasy
Last week, I bought my first pair of Dr. Martins. When I was in in junior high, all the cool kids had gignormous Dr. Martens boots to go with their flannels and torn white-washed jeans. I could afford the flannels and jeans because they were readily available from the local St. Vincent de Paul thriftstore, but Dr. Martens cost upwards of $100. Anyway, now I've got a pair, although they're low-cut so I can wear them to work.

Ahhh... very cool. That is *still* a fantasy of mine... ;-)
Is this the pair that you bought? Or are you just showing a generic Doc Martin pair?
Hi Bipin. The pic is of the boots that were really popular back in the day. They used to have all kinds of colored ones, too, and with different patterns on the soles. The ones I'm wearing now are much more prosaic ... just a rough leather type of casual business shoe, but with that extra-thick Dr. Martin sole that makes me a wee bit taller. :-)
Well written article.
