Last week was really busy with work and church. So Sunday afternoon, when Cora was taking a nap, my wife was doing her lesson planning, and the rain was falling lightly, I set out to haul, spilt, and stack firewood. It was great therapy for a long week, and now I have plenty of wood to burn this winter.
Leo Tolstoy often took a break from his other duties to join his peasants in farm work, especially harvesting grain with a scythe. He thought working the body was a great way to rest the mind. I agree heartily.
