What constrains my blogging

Reading a Newsweek article on new social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace, I came across a very true statement:
"Photos from drunken parties, recollections of sexual escapades, profanity or threats--all these indiscretions, posted online, have gotten students suspended or expelled, or harmed job prospects. In a couple of decades, a presidential candidate may be called on to answer for a college misadventure that he or she impetuously detailed in a blog entry."
I believe we more mature bloggers would do well to apply that advice to our own online ventures. Even though I don't identify myself on this blog for privacy reasons, I believe future Web technologies will be able to infer from all my online activity where and what I've posted online, including comments on other people's blogs. Something to think about.
