Abortions are painful, physically and spiritually

This Reuters article, titled "Morphine fails to control pain in preterm infants," shows premature babies still feel pain despite medication, possibly because of immature drug receptors. It's not difficult to infer the consequence for babies that are aborted, even though their mothers may be insensitized.

This is a disgusting topic, and I know it doesn't make for a nice blog-reading experience. But ... how can one remain silent?

Have you ever seen the movie The Silent Scream? It's actual footage inside the uterus of a baby being aborted. And it's sheer hell.

If everyone saw it, there would be no more abortions.

no, i haven't seen that movie. and from the way you describe it, i don't really want to. but i agree that it probably would go a long way to converting some ardent pro-choice folks.

I've never seen it, either. I know I couldn't deal with that. But I've known people who have seen it, and they still haven't recovered.
