OK. So I'm reading about this new Koran-flushing investigation down at Guantanamo. Then I see that non-Muslim touching of the Koran is also considered a violation. What?!
Sorry folks, but I think sensitivity can only go so far sometimes. Yes, it's wrong to denegrate the Muslim faith in the same way it would be wrong regarding any other religion. In that respect, I can understand not flushing a Koran down the toliet, for example. But I'm starting to wonder about the limits of sensitivity ... can someone please explain to me how a crucifix in urine gets National Endowment for the Arts funding and touching, standing over, or otherwise mishandling the Koran is worth lives?
