New York Times columnist David Brooks on Christian and liberal tie-ups

Man, with all the talk about common ground between Christians and Democrats, I'm beginning to feel the topic is passe. But hey, let's press the point. David Brooks writes a good column today about evangelicals and liberals joining forces to fight poverty and other social crusades. He talks about U2's Bono, who I really admire, and makes a good point about how congregational pastors are probably better Christian representatives than parachurch organizations, which normally have a narrow focus.
