ok, i'm not lost ... just directionless in terms of this blog

so i've decided to start a blog. lots of directions in which this could go: do i target a specific audience or express all of my multi-faceted self? do i start capitalizing my posts, even though i don't do that for other informal internet stuff? do i divulge my identity? (seems like a hard thing to hide in a "personal diary.") does blogger automatically cut out the extra space i put between sentences, like some email programs? should i worry about future employers? what about friends and family ... are they going to read this? (or, perhaps more importantly, will they like what they read?)

lots of questions, so few answers right now.

i guess i'll take a cue from a friend's new blog and start off with why before what. like that person, i've been posting on the chinadaily forum for some time and like participating in online communities. i've actually met quite a few (well, ok, just a few) people in person that i first knew online. they were all pretty cool, and overall i've had an interesting experience. i think "living" online is something more and more of us will be doing in the future anyway, and while it can be a waste of time, so can watching tv. in fact, i think watching tv is more of a waste of time.

er ... more later. gotta go.

zaijian! (means goodbye, or "see you again," in chinese.)

Hey there ts, I found your blog because I've gotten a few hits on my blog from the link on your page. Thanks for linking to me.

By the way, you're blocked in China. I had to use a proxy to get your page.
