It's been real busy at work lately, and the blog has suffered. I'm scheduled to preach on July 6th, and plan to preach from the parable of the shrewd manager in Luke 16. The gist is that we Christians need to wise in how we deal with our limited time and opportunities here on earth, just as the shrewd (and dishonest) manager was. We need to think how we can make the most of our lives with eternity in mind. We shouldn't waste our time getting comfortable here on earth. Mainly, I'm thinking about missionary stuff. I recently finished reading a short autobiography from Hudson Taylor, which serves as inspiration for my thoughts.
Oh yeah, I also just started the memoirs of Charles Finney. It's a really long book, and he writes like you'd think a 19th-century lawyer would. It's great so far!
