It's a familiar post that appears on blogs from time to time: "Sorry I haven't posted in a while for X, Y, and Z reasons." You cringe reading those posts, sorry for the state of affairs. And especially if you mainly know the person through their blog, it seems as though they've died or suffered some type of incapacitating tragedy that prevents them from posting.
Alas, I too am sorry for not having posted in a while. But take heart, because it's not because of anything bad. Rather, I've simply been busy with a lot of meaningful things: church, work, family, vacations, and hiking trips. And ... Facebook. Honestly, Facebook has consumed my blog time in a big way because I get more out of it. I'm interacting mainly with people I know from meatspace (geek-speak for the non-virtual world). I also have found several blog friends (Daniel Ho, Bipin Sen, and Peter Kirk) on Facebook as well and keep up with them that way.
So, will I promise to recommit myself to blogging? Not yet, at least. The Facebook honeymoon may wear off and I might return to find Blogger to be a quaint, homey, and familiar alternative. But for now, the only thing I can say to my blog friends is that you need to try Facebook for yourself. And if you do, please be sure to send me an email to let me know so we can stay in touch that way.

Missed seeing your posts on here. And I have customer dinner on Monday, but it could move to Tuesday. Do you have any idea where you're staying? If my dinner moves, then I'd love to meet up with you.
Aha, you're back!! I'm glad--I've missed you.
(Meatspace?? That's hilarious.)
