"The Grand Design"

At the end of his book "A Brief History of Time," big-thinking physicist Stephen Hawking wrote:
"If we do discover a complete theory [ of physics ] , it should in time be understandable in broad principle by everyone, not just a few scientists. Then we shall all, philosophers, scientists and just ordinary people, be able to take part in the discussion of why it is that we and the universe exist. If we find the answer to that, it would be the ultimate triumph of human reason -- for then we would truly know the mind of God."
Now, Reuters reports he will more fully explain his understanding of the universe in a book titled "The Grand Design." Now, I'm sure Hawking is aware this will be interpreted by some as evidence for a Designer, right?

I think it sounds as if he is sure that God does exist. And also, he is implying that God's mind is far above the human mind. So, yes, it does sound as if he is aware of this interpretation that people will probably make--based on what he says here! (Glory be to God, hallelujah!!)
