Wayfaring Stranger is an American folk song that refers to Christians' temporary presence in this world. But while I may travel this world as a stranger, I am not lost; I follow Jesus and my destination is in heaven.

We bought a house!
Yea! We bought a house (pictured above)!
It's definitely going to need some painting and new flooring, and a bathroom overhaul, and a new back deck, and some landscaping ... but it looks like a solid house in a great neighborhood. And it's well within our budget, too!
It came on the market a couple days ago and there were four offers before ours. We wrote up our offer this evening and added an "escalation clause" that says we'll offer $1,000 more than the other bid up to a certain amount. So, in the end, we had to pay $1,000 more than full price, but I still am happy about it because I think it was a good price to begin with.
Jehovah-Jireh, God provides! Now, back to my Ikea catalog ...

congrats! your own house - it's a blessing and a curse! in the long term, more of a blessing, i hope! :-)
does this mean you have an extra bedroom for visitors? ;-)
Well, after one room for mama and papa, one room for baby, one room for baby's toys, one library, one gaming/multimedia room, one room for letter-writing ... no, no room for guests, sorry.
Ha ha, just kidding. Yes, we will have one guest room. Planning a visit so soon?
haha. no plans anytime soon. it's one of the cities i've never been to, and one of the cities i wanna visit before i die. sooo.. maybe that will happen if i wanna have a fulfilled life. :-)
Wonderful, congratulations on becoming a homeowner! I knew God would provide!
