A still, quiet whirlwind

Life's been incredibly busy lately. Here's what I've got on my plate:
  • At work, projects up to the gills, thanks to an upcoming operating system release from a large, Redmond-based software maker.
  • A weekend mission trip is scheduled for next month.
  • A sermon to prepare for October 15.
  • We close on the house next month. Before we move in, we want to paint the interior, install new appliances, and replace the blinds ... other improvements to come.
  • Observe Cora, who is learning new words and funny things to do everyday, and everyday rocketing further and further away from the tiny caterpillar that once slept on my chest.
  • Support my wife, who starting up a new pre-school program for the non-profit that hired her this past summer.
  • Encourage a younger brother-in-Christ who is possibly back-sliding, and continue discipleship with others.
  • Write stories for the upcoming church newsletter.
  • Take my car in to the shop to replace the timing belt and a gasket that's leaking oil.
  • Post about my invigorating struggles on my blog.
But if I've learned anything in the past 10 years, it's to relax during hurried times like these and listen to the Holy Spirit. Even though there may be a whirlwind around me, it's still here with God in the eye of the storm.

sounds like a lot is going on. sorry about the car. i know how vexing car problems can be.

priya is not being very impressive with her vocabulary yet. maybe she feels she doesn't have a whole lot to say yet. she finally learned to say papa, so i'm happy with that for now.
