Oftentimes, I feel Christians pigeonhole ministries based on some emphasized ideas. People who visit my church might come away with the impression that we are all about the "move of the Spirit" and then assume we skimp Bible study, discipleship, and other fundamentals. But those impressions would be wrong.
Rick Warren, the Christian uber-marketer, and has spent a lot of time thinking about how to sell the Christian message to "spiritual seekers." He is often criticized for his "worldly" approach to evangelism, but people would be wrong to write off his very solid pastoral advice in other areas. I subscribe to his "Ministry Toolbox" weekly email and recently received this very encouraging message, titled "How God builds you while you are building your ministry." In it, Warren expounds his "Six Phases of Faith" that every Christian leader must go through in ministry. If you are a Christian leader at any level, I highly recommend you to take a quick look at the short message.

Very interesting. I have to admit, until I met you, I felt that any charismatics were a little bit brain-dead.
nice pointer to a good message. is there a phase 0? :-)
thanks for the comments, guys ... i think. i'm glad you like warren's message. it's good to share ideas, even if we don't always agree.
