Wayfaring Stranger is an American folk song that refers to Christians' temporary presence in this world. But while I may travel this world as a stranger, I am not lost; I follow Jesus and my destination is in heaven.

It's like tortilla, not Godzilla
Tonight, I finally found out why NPR newscasters had been pronouncing Jose Padilla's last name as though rhyming with Godzilla. The first time I heard it, I thought it was a mistake and laughed because the serious-sounding people were being stupid. After all, they didn't pronounce his first name as though rhyming with Bose, the stereo company, right? Anyway, the CBSNews.com blog explains the Padilla family actually prefers the wrong pronunciation. I bet the newscasters snicker off the air.

If you ask me, the whole thing is silly. ;o)
that's a good one, ts. being a faithful npr listener, i had noticed that they consistently pronounced the "ll" when other news organizations didn't. yay for npr.
bipin sen,
you must have been listening before AP sent out a wire "correcting" the pronunciation, because now they pronounce his name like Godzilla. btw, isn't jose from your neck of the woods?
yep. good ol' jose. from chicago.
