Did you know power adapters used to recharge cellphones and other gadgets sap electricity even when they're not being used to charge anything? I didn't know that, and just thought to pass the word. According to News.com, consumer electronic devices comprise up to 20 percent of the average household's electricity bill. Maybe we should have one of those nifty banner graphics and start an internet campaign. Anybody got a catchy slogan?
