People, please ... the Bible is not a literal sword, OK?

From the Associated Press:
Prosecutors have charged Charles E. Averill of Saginaw with attempted murder, domestic violence and carrying a dangerous weapon -- a King James version of The Rainbow Study Bible -- with unlawful intent. He faces up to life in prison if convicted on all the charges. His trial is set for June 14.
In several places in the New Testament, the Word of God is described as a sword. Shakespeare even used the pun "Godsword," which could either be read as "God's word" or "God sword." But seriously, everyone should start carrying around their Zondervan thinlines and leave the big boys at home, alright?
